Testimonials
"Suffered for years with persistent migraines, had no idea the cause was my neck and shoulder tension brought on by my office based work. I now see Emma regularly, neck and shoulder pain has gone and cannot remember the last time I had a headache!"
"I recently used Emma for a massage. As i work in a high pressure job this helps revive me from the stresses of every day life. She provides a professional & caring approach and i will continue to use her services. I also bought a gift voucher for my husband for our wedding anniversary. We both now use Emma as regular customers. I cant recommend her highly enough."
Dry needling

Dry needling comprises of very thin needles (dry referring to one without medication or injection) being inserted into areas of the muscle/facia where there are adhesions/tension which perhaps are causing pain or discomfort.

Dry needling is similar to acupuncture however the treatment is not as complex in that it focuses entirely on muscle ailments or injuries rather than acupuncture points.
This treatments works on the principle that by insterting a thin needle - which can be as thin as a hair! - you can stimulate the bodies healing response to a specific area of the body, and in this process, helps to heal the muscle tissues surrounding the needle. It also helps to speed up tension break down if compared with a massage treatment only.
Dry needling can benefit a wide range of issues here are some examples of the most common:

General muscle aches and pains
Muscle tightness or injury
Migraines or headaches
Nerve impingement or sciatic pain
Neuropathy
Multiple sclerosis
Fibromyalgia
Knee injury
Plantar fasciitis
Inflammation
Digestive disorders
Dry needling can also be incorporated into any of the other treatments offered.

Deep Tissue Massage/ Swedish Massage

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage that focuses on the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronic aches and pains and contracted areas such as stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders.
When there is chronic muscle tension or injury, there are usually adhesions (bands of painful, rigid tissue) in muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Adhesions can block circulation and cause pain, limited movement, and inflammation.
Deep tissue massage works by physically breaking down these adhesions to relieve pain and restore normal movement.
Aromatherapy Massage

Aromatherapy massage is massage therapy but with highly concentrated plant oils, called essential oils, added to the massage oil. When providing Aromatherapy, each blend is different and they all include healing properties to suit the needs of the client. For example, some are calming while others energize. Here are some widely used essential oils and their purported properties:
-
calming – chamomile, lavender, geranium
-
uplifting – ylang ylang, clary sage, rose, neroli
-
energizing – lemon, orange, lime, grapefruit
-
cleansing – rosemary, peppermint
-
decongesting – eucalyptus, pine, tea tree
Aromatherapy massage is particularly suited to conditions involving stress or improving emotionally-related conditions such as:
-
Stress and stress-related conditions such as insomnia
-
Headache
-
Digestive disorders
-
Premenstrual syndrome (PMS)
Aromatherapy can also be used in all other treatments offered.
Hot Stone Massage
If you’re looking for a more relaxing treatment to ease stress, there’s nothing better than a hot stone massage. Popular for its ability to soothe both mind and body, the hot stone massage uses a combination of gentle oils and natural stones in a bid to ease muscle tension, improve circulation and promote wellbeing.
Hot stone massage is an ancient practice dating back thousands of years, and involves the use of flat, heated stones (basalt stones) that are placed on key spots across your body. These special areas are said to control your body’s energy flow and when recharged can help to rebalance body and soul.
Hot stone massage is thought to be helpful in treating all sorts of muscular injuries, aches and pains - and can even benefit people who suffer from multiple sclerosis or fibromyalgia.
Indian Head Massage

Using ancient principle techniques, Indian Head Massage focuses on the upper back, shoulders, upper arms, neck, scalp and the pressure points on the face. It can help with headaches, migraines, insomnia, sinus congestion, stress, anxiety and depression.
Reflexology

Reflexology works on the ancient Chinese principle that different areas of the feet correspond with different organs and glands in the body. The healing of any imbalances in the body can be helped with the aid of pressure point massage and restores the flow of energy throughout the entire body. By stimulating these reflexes with pressure and manipulation, nerve function and blood supply may be improved which may alleviate stress and other health problems. This can help restore balance throughout the body.
